About Nick
Nick Taylor is a singular, unique, and independent voice in the film world. His work is a little different, absurd, yet very polished. Nick has his own style when it comes to how he shoots, lights, cuts, and scores a film. He tries to do all this within the writing process so it comes out naturally in the final movie.
Nick strives for originality and authenticity, mixing underground surrealism with an organic and gritty quality. This adds an often funny and sometimes dark and disturbing flavor to his projects.
Educational Background
Nick attended high school in the 1970s in New Jersey, where he played the drums, worked in a clothing store, and spent a lot of time at the movies. He studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) with Alan Becker and Shirley Guy, and at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, with Hope Arthur and Charlie Laughton. Additionally, Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in media from New Jersey City University.
